Lily's last night

The drive back to the airport was quiet.
We boarded the plane back to Lagos at about 7.30pm. We hadn't said a word to each other till we boarded.
When the plane took off, he turned to look at me, I looked back and we bursted out laughing.
'You must have had a good laugh when u saw June and I at the bar earlier Mr. J said. 'Quite the contrary, I was only thinking at what point did you get her details?' I responded still laughing.
'Nima you know me better, when I like something, I go for it.' He said. I agreed because I knew him. 'But I thought marriage had taken it's toll on you?' I said.
Well, there are some things marriage can't blind you from...did you see that back side?!' He responded. We both laughed.

When we landed, his driver was waiting. Mr. J asked him to drop me off first.

When I got home, there was no power... trust PHCN. I went towards the generator house and saw Lily standing by the generator with Alex.
'Hello guys, what's happening?'
'Hi Nima' they both responded.
'What's happening?' I asked again. 'The generator has refused to start and Alex is trying to see what's wrong. How was your trip? ' Lily asked
'It was OK...I am tired...need to rest, but not in this heat.' I said tiredly.
'Don't worry let me see what I can do' Alex replied. I nodded and put on my phone  torch as I entered the house.

The cold shower was amazing, it was what I needed. My phone began to ring, it was Mac D. He knows when to call.
'Hey handsome, what's up?' I said.
'Hi beautiful, you sound tired' He replied.
'I am so tired, just flew in from Abuja and got home to no power. Alex is trying to fix the generator.'  I said.
'I am so sorry love, you will be fine. I should be back in a few days, I would give you all the loving you need' he assured me.'
We talked about other things for another ten minutes when the light came on...Alex came through thank God.

I could still hear Alex and Lily outside. What were they even talking about? Anyway she is leaving tomorrow so I guess they are trying to make the best of the little time they have... This short time romance ...funny.
I need to sleep, it's 11.30pm. I peep through the curtains one more time and see them kissing deeply. I smile and head to my bedroom. I wish them luck... Hopefully.
Wahala no good.
