Eve of departure

Mac D was waiting in his car as I drove in.
I looked at my wristwatch it was 10.15pm...I hope he hasn't been waiting for long I thought as I alighted from my car.
'Hiya baby, how you dey, hope you have not been waiting for long?' I asked as I walk over to hug him.
'Not at all, I just drove in and was about calling you when you drove in.' he replied as he kissed my cheek.
We entered the house.
Finally, you have finished packing he said as sighted my bag in the corner.
'Yes finally' I responded some what distantly. Mac D sensing something was off, turns and looks at me. 'Are you alright, is anything the matter?' he asks concerned. I didn't respond, my mind had drifted to Mr. J and what just happened at the bar...why did he kiss me? The truth was I enjoyed the kiss...those feelings I had managed to shove behind me over the years were slowly coming back...but he is hurting right now, maybe he was reacting to his present state of mind...does he really want me...what if he is beginning to think of me, maybe that's why he asked me to meet up with him...hmmmm...
'Nimaaa!
I almost jumped out of my skin as Mac D screamed my name. I turned and looked at him and realised that I was holding the TV remote, standing in the middle of the sitting room, staring at a blank TV screen!
'Sorry dear, was lost in thoughts, didn't hear you, What did you say?'. I said as I smiled and put on the TV.
'Is there a problem?' He asked again.
'No D, Nothing at all. I guess I am missing Naija already, You know I haven't traveled in a long while.' I responded as I sat on the sofa and put my legs up. He sits beside me still staring at me but says nothing and shrugs his shoulder.
I wasn't ready to tell him about Mr.J and anything that happened tonight.

I needed to take my mind off the whole thing, so I started talking about the time of my flight tomorrow and all the activities I would be involved in all through my holiday. Before long, we were chatting, laughing and watching a movie in between.

At about 1.30am, Mac D whispered into my ears 'Babe, let's go to bed, I want to give you the longest love making tonight that would last you through you holiday.'
That jolted me up so fast I knocked over the side stool that had our drinks, I didn't stop to check if i made a spill, I just flew into my bedroom with Mac D in tow!
By the time his lips touched my neck, I knew this night was going to end with a huge satisfied smile on my face.
Let's Do this biko...Wahala no good.
